There will not be a paper Request for Summer Financial Aid form.
Students will be able to let us know if they are interested in Summer
financial aid through BANNER's self-service. 

Students will be doing the process through their myLEO, Financial Aid
section.

 

Currently work is being done on self-service BANNER. How this will work:

 

A tab will be turned on 1 week prior to when the Registrar's Office
releases the summer class schedule. 

The TAB will take them directly to Summer Terms & Conditions where
verbiage tells them the requirement of half-time, what happens if they
do not attend 6 hours, etc.

The student will be able to enter the number of hours they plan to
register in summer I/summer II or if attending the 10 week summer
session, the number of hours. 

 

Kimberly is working on the layout and verbiage. Jenise will work on the
backend to populate the necessary field(s) in BANNER to have the rest of
the process run. 

 

As in the past, a notice will be sent to the student and employee list
serve 1 week prior to release of the class schedule. The instructions
will route them to their myLEO.  In the meantime if students call about
summer financial aid, let them know the process is being worked on and
will become available 1 week prior to the release of the summer class
schedule.  An announcement will be sent to the student list serve. This
will be sometime in mid-March.
