INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH

INFORMED CONSENT

 

Dear Texas A&M MSW Student,

 

You are invited to participate in a research study designed to determine
if there is a relationship between a student's history of abuse and/or
neglect and academic performance. The survey will be sent to all of the
Texas A&M Masters of Social work students currently enrolled in summer
classes.  The survey should take no longer than 5 minutes.  

 

The responses are anonymous and the researcher will only have access to
the number of participants and aggregate data.  Your IP address will not
be known to the researcher.  This study involves minimal risk, no more
than expected in daily life.  If you feel uncomfortable with a question,
you can withdraw from the study all together.  If you decide to quit at
any time before the survey is completed your answers will not be
recorded.  There are no personal benefits in completing the survey.
Participation in this study is voluntary, and once the study is
complete, there will be no additional contact.
