Dear MSW Students - I sent this email yesterday but am resending because
it did not have the correct Survey Monkey link. Please take time to
read the message below and take a minute to complete the 3-question
survey. A number of you responded to my corrected message and have
provided you input - Thanks!!

Greetings! I know this is a very hectic time of the semester for
everyone but I wanted a minute of your time to update you on scheduling
issues we are all facing. Because of funding constraints and limited
class offerings, we may not be able to accommodate preferences across
sections (or even locations) of classes. In other words, if Wed. night
classes are full at 30 students, then that class is full. Students
would have to enroll in the Saturday section or wait until next year
when the class is offered again.

Pam permits you to register for classes - many of these are filling up
or are already full. She has been instructed to NOT add any additional
seats at this time. When all available sections of a class are full, she
will then begin a waiting list. IF there are sufficient numbers of
students to add a new section (minimum of 12), then we will do so and
will notify all students of this addition.

We are truly sympathetic to your family, work, field and financial
demands and constraints on your time and travel, but please know that we
have similar constraints on the availability of classes based on the
number of faculty we have, faculty workload, and teaching schedules
(across BSW daytime classes in Commerce, and evening/weekend schedules
in both Commerce and Mesquite. We are increasingly using eCollege to
make more courses Web-enhanced, thereby decreasing the number of
face-to-face sessions over the course of the semester. Please be
patient as we work diligently to accommodate everyone as best we can.

To help us with planning efforts for subsequent semesters, we'd
appreciate your time in completing this very BRIEF survey (3-4
questions) on your preferences for MSW class options. Just click on the
link below, complete the questions, and submit. Thanks and good luck as
you complete this semester!
