The Department of Social Work at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center
recently received permission to hire an additional 6.9 Social Work
Counselors.  The ideal candidates must possess an MSW or MSSW degree.
Experience in oncology or health care social work is preferred.
Qualified candidates must have excellent assessment, intervention, and
counseling skills. The ability to communicate and work collaboratively
in a multidisciplinary setting is required.  Flexibility, compassion,
and the ability to work independently are also desired.  Social Work
licensure by the State of Texas is required.
