Hi Dr. Moore,

Below is the information for the program.  We can choose 2 students to be
considered for the scholarship.  I will need everything complete and back to
me by this Wednesday, February 20, 2008.  Sorry about the short notice.

Kenneth H. Ashworth Fellowship Program

 

Award amount 08-09 up to $2000 per student

 

Eligablitlity Requirements:

Must be a Texas Resident

Must have applied for financial assistance and show financial need

Must ben enrolled as a graduate student (social work)

Must intend to work in Texas after compleing his/her graduate studies

 

 

To apply for the scholarship each students must submit the following:

 

An application  (they will need to complete part A and then my office will
complete part B)

 

A 500-word personal essay describing their philosophy of public service.
Should inclued personal and professional goals that they have established
for themselves and how those goals relate to a career in publice service.

 

2 letters of recommendation (one from a faculty member and one from a person
who is not a faculty member)
