[MS Finance] Finance Lab, Bloomberg training etc.

Hello Students of BBA Finance and MS Finance,

I am happy to inform you that the finance lab situated in the BA building on the second floor is up and running. The lab has a dozen Bloomberg Terminals, which have state-of-the-art information on financial markets among other things.  We are arranging for someone to be there so that you can access the lab during selected hours every week.

This is a golden opportunity for finance students.  There is something known as Bloomberg certification that you can get for free when you go to the lab, prepare with the help of a video shown there and take the exam.  My understanding is that it takes approximately 8 hours to get Bloomberg certified.  It will be an excellent addition to your accomplishments to list on your resume when you apply for jobs.  Some of our previous graduates had benefited from being Bloomberg certified.

I also want to take this opportunity to invite everyone to join the finance society.  The society has several events planned this year including a presentation by one of our first MSF graduates who is now very successful in the New York Metropolitan area.  Please look for announcements on the society's Facebook page.
