Hello all,

Did you know that we now offer three electives in real estate? These courses would count as your electives towards your MS finance degree.

If you take all of the following three courses as electives, you will get a specialized minor in real estate.
1. FIN 577- Real Estate Finance - offered Fall 2020
2. FIN 575 - Principles of Real Estate - offered in Spring 2021/Summer 2021
3. FIN 576 - Real Estate Appraisal and Investments - offered Spring 2021

While FIN 575 primarily focuses on residential markets, the other two courses FIN 577 and FIN 576 will cover financing and investment aspects in both residential and commercial real estate markets.

Students specializing in real estate are preferred by many banks and financial institutions. This focused concentration in real estate will improve your career opportunities in areas of banking, mortgage lending, real estate development, asset management, appraisal, real estate management, and brokerage.

The real estate minor is designed to provide students with an opportunity to obtain comprehensive exposure to the field of real estate making them more competitive in the job market.

For more info about this minor, please contact Dr.Ramya Aroul at Ramya.aroul at tamuc.edu<mailto:Ramya.aroul at tamuc.edu>
