[Journalism] Financial Aid and Scholarship Office PLEASE READ!!!

[Julie Phillips]

For all journalism majors and minors: The Financial Aid and
Scholarship Office has agreed to allow applications for scholarships
until July 1, 2010 FOR CURRENT STUDENTS. The Journalism Division is
going to send another message soon with directions as how to apply. Ms.
Julie Phillips is expanding our listserv to try to include the names of
as many students as possible. We hope it is complete, for the intent is
to disseminate this opportunity to all potential applicants within the
Division. This expansion of names and the broadcasting of this
application period will meet the requests of the scholarship officials.

We encourage all students who will be returning this fall
for that term or for the full 2010-2011 academic year to apply.

You must submit all materials to be considered. So, please
pay attention to the next message about scholarships. The number of
scholarships and the amounts will be determined.

Please understand that new students and transfer students
may also apply for these scholarships. The opportunity has been open;
what is new is that current students may apply by July 1. As some of you
know, I was not please with the previous deadline which I felt was not
widely known and worked against our majors.

Thank you. Dr. Bridges
