[Journalism] TPRA Program

[Brandy Martin]

Journalism students,

Public relations majors may want to look into the 2008 Texas Public
Relations Association Silver Spur Intern program. The announcement to
Dr. Bridges said June 31, but the organization must have meant June 30,
2008.

I announced this in classes during the last days of the spring term.
But this is a reminder for anyone who might like to reconsider and
compete.

My understanding is that the interns may work during the remainder of
the summer or during the fall term, but you need to check on that. Fur
full details, go to the website at www.tpra.com. Each intern selected
earns a $1,000 scholarship, and an outstanding intern is selected and
receives a $1,500 scholarship.

Let Dr. Bridges know if you need help.

TPRA says that its page also lists other internships available
throughout the state. You might check that out.
