[Journalism] Scholarship Opportunities

[Brandy Martin]

Journalism students,

Let me remind you, please, of the scholarship opportunities posted on the
bulletin board at the south end of the Journalism Building.

But, in particular, let me remind you of the following opportunity.

The Press Club of Dallas Foundation has awards ranging from $1,500 to $3,000
for an academic year. Applications must be received by April 2, 2007.
Details are available on the posted sheet, or ask Dr. Bridges for a copy.

A word of caution: if you apply, be sure your materials are written well and
carefully presented. Professionals evaluate applicants, and they expect
your materials to be presented well with good writing, correct spelling and
grammar, and a clean look. Do not "shoot yourself in the foot."

If I can help you, please let me know.

This is an excellent scholarship possibility.

Shristi Shrestha of our program was awarded a scholarship last spring.

Good luck.

Dr. Bridges
