<p class=MsoNormal>Early registration for the Winter Mini and Spring semesters
will begin next week and each semester we have students contact our office to
inquire about registration hold(s) that are preventing them from registering
for classes. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>If
you are unable to register for classes, myLeo will generally provide
information related to why you cannot register.</span></b> Please note
that holds may come from the Financial Services office for outstanding
balances, your academic department for advising, may be due to a pre-requisite
required before you can take a specific class, or may be from other
sources. You may review your holds in myLeo by clicking on <i>Registration,
Records, and Grades</i>, then clicking on <i>Student Records</i>, and then
clicking on <i>View Your Holds</i>. If you try to register for a class
that has pre-requisite requirements myLeo will usually provide this information
when you try to register for the class. Please review the reason for your
hold before calling the ISSO. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><b><i><span style='font-size:14.0pt'>The ISSO has placed an Informational
Hold on all international student’s accounts that is an “IS” hold
that states DO NOT DROP BELOW FULL TIME. This hold <u>is not a
registration hold</u> and <u>WILL NOT</u> prevent students from registering for
classes. </span></i></b><i><span style='font-size:14.0pt'><o:p></o:p></span></i></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><b><i><span style='color:red;background:yellow;mso-highlight:
yellow'>If you are being told by a department on-campus that this specific hold,
DO NOT DROP BELOW FULL TIME, is preventing you from registering for classes
please contact the ISSO at 903-886-5097 or have the department you are speaking
with contact the ISSO immediately. If you are physically on-campus please
call the ISSO at 903-886-5097 <u>before </u>walking to our office to avoid any
potential “run around.” Some departments misread this hold
and send international students to us to have the “hold” lifted</span><span
style='color:red'>. THIS HOLD WILL NOT PREVENT STUDENTS FROM
REGISTERING. <o:p></o:p></span></i></b></p>
