<p class=MsoNormal>The ISSO is sponsoring a trip to the Texas State Fair on
Saturday, October 15. For more than 100 years, the State Fair of Texas
has been a major source of entertainment for millions, as well as a powerful
factor in the growth of Dallas. The State Fair is a great opportunity to
experience Texas culture at its finest. For more information please go to

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>Brenda Brand in the office says
that “as a Texan and a resident of the Dallas area I have gone to the
State Fair of Texas for over 30 years and it is one of the best ways to see
people, products, and talent from Texas and around the world. Take a camera,
there are a lot of fun and interesting things to take your picture with. Sit in
a bring shiny new truck or fancy car, touch an animal you may have never gotten
close to, see handmade crafts, and new and innovated products. Take a backpack
for the free items that you may find. There are many things to see and do at
the State Fair each year and I enjoy going every time.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>The cost for the trip is $20 <b><i>(cash or money order made
out to TAMU-C) </i></b>which includes transportation to the state fair grounds
and admission to the fair. Seats are limited and we will need a minimal
number of participants for the trip. Students may sign up <b><i><u>in
person</u></i></b> (no emails/phone calls or group sign up by one person) at
the ISSO and the $20 registration is required at sign-up to reserve a
seat. The deadline to sign up is Monday, October 10 at 5pm. No
refunds/transfers. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Students will need to be at the parking lot (Parking lot C
on map) next to the Performing Arts Center (Building #18 on map) by
10:45am. Please bring your Lion card (campus ID card). We will <b><i><u>leave</u></i></b>
campus at 11am <b><i><u>SHARP</u></i></b>. There is a spectacular
light show every evening around 8pm that lasts about 30-45 minutes and we will
depart to return to Commerce after the light show around
9pm. <o:p></o:p></p>
