We have a number of international students that live
off-campus in Commerce and the surrounding area or in the Dallas/Fort Worth area
and sometimes students need assistance with living condition concerns or
problems. Attached with this email is a list of contacts for students who
live off-campus in Commerce, Greenville, Rockwall, Dallas, and Irving that may experience
problems with their rental property (apartment, rent house).

The first course of action is to always
contact your landlord to see if the issue/problem can be
resolved. Generally, landlords will work hard to resolve issues but sometimes
further action by the student/tenant may be necessary to resolve an issue/problem.
The attached form provides a list of community contacts that students may utilize
to assist in correcting any concern or dilemma related to their rental property.
If your city of residence is not included on this list you may google
the department’s name and your city and you should be able to find their
contact information.
