<P><FONT SIZE=2>The ISSO just received an updated list on Thursday, May 12 for the academic STEM majors that are eligible for the 17-month OPT Extension.&nbsp; Please read over the list below as there are a few SIGNIFICANT additions.&nbsp; The ISSO was planning to announce a NEW PROCESS FOR APPLYING for the 17-month OPT Extension and please see below for more information.&nbsp; AN ADDITIONAL EMAIL WITH INFORMATION WILL BE SENT THROUGH THE OPT STUDENT LIST SERVE:&nbsp;<BR>

The ISSO had been planning in June to change the application process for the 17-month OPT Extension and in light of these new Extension eligible majors we just became aware of we are going to make the changes effective immediately.&nbsp; AN ADDITIONAL EMAIL WITH MORE INFORMATION WILL BE SENT THROUGH THE OPT STUDENT LIST SERVE.&nbsp;<BR>

The 12-month OPT application process WILL NOT CHANGE.&nbsp; We will update our website as soon as possible with the new application process for the 17-month OPT Extension.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<BR>

Students may now mail their application packet to the ISSO for processing and we will mail the packet back to you (at your expense).&nbsp; A follow-up email with more information and the steps for the new process will be sent through the OPT Student list serve.&nbsp; PLEASE READ OVER THOROUGHLY.&nbsp; Failure to follow instructions will delay your application.&nbsp; Please contact the ISSO with any questions or concerns.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<BR>
