be respectful when a graduates name is called</u></b>. The reading
of the graduating student’s name is a <u>very</u> cherished moment during the
commencement ceremony for both the graduate and their guests. If audience
members are celebrating excessively and loudly this may prevent the next
graduate’s name from being heard.<b><i> </i></b><span style='color:black'>Out
of respect for all participants and their guests we ask that all guest please
abide by the commencement guidelines.</span><b><i><span style='color:red'>
</span></i><span style='color:red;background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>It is
understandable that friends and family will be excited when a graduate’s
name is called and will want to celebrate. However, <u>please limit
the celebration to a few seconds to avoid disrupting the calling of the next
graduate’s name. Excessive celebration may cause the friends and family
of the next graduate to not hear their name called.</u></span></b><u><span
style='color:red'> </span></u><o:p></o:p></p>

</span></span></span><![endif]>Over the past few commencement ceremonies there
has been an issue of friends and/or family members of graduating students
relocating to multiple seats around the auditorium during the ceremony. I
have been in attendance and noticed this as well to the point I have had to
encourage attendees to stop moving around. As you can imagine getting up
and moving to another seat in another location multiple times can be very
disruptive to the other guests and the participants.<b><i> <u><span
style='color:red;background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'>We strongly encourage
any friends or family that attend the ceremony to arrive early enough to find a
good seat and please limit their moving to another location during the
ceremony.</span></u></i></b><b><i><u><span style='font-size:14.0pt;color:red'>
