<p class=MsoNormal>We have had a few students contact our office regarding
their courses being full that they are trying to register for this summer or in
the fall. In some cases, even though a course is full a professor <b><u>MAY</u></b>
add seats to allow more students to register for the courses. For
example, when you review the course listings for fall 2011 at <a
href="http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/soc/?Term=201180">http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/soc/?Term=201180</a>
they will list the course information and then <i>Max Seats</i> and <i>Students
Enrolled</i>. Even if a course is full to the maximum seats a
professor <b><u>MAY</u></b> add seats for additional students. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>If a class is listed as full and you would like to enroll in
the course, you may contact your academic department or the professor of the
class to request a seat be added. Again, this is at the discretion of the
academic department and there is no guarantee they will add any additional
seats. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>Also, during your course registration if you are prevented
from registering for a class please confirm the source of the hold for your
registration. The ISSO hold has been removed and only an informational
hold that <b><u>DOES NOT</u></b> prevent course registration is listed. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>One of the most common holds is from the Bursar’s
office related to financial obligations such as a past due balance. If
you are not able to even access the course registration part of your myLeo then
you have a registration hold and you may view the source of this hold in your
myLeo. Another common hold relates to a course that requires a
pre-requisite or requires special permission from the academic department to
enroll in the course. You will need to contact your academic department
for permission to register for the class. <o:p></o:p></p>
