<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">1. </FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">If spring 2005 is your last registered semester</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"></FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">and you want to apply for OPT, you must make an appointment with the</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">international</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">student</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"> adviser to file for OPT application</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">no later than</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"></FONT><B></B><B> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">May 6, 2005</FONT></B><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">.</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Your OPT application will be rejected by the immigration adjudicator if it</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">reaches the immigration service center after the last day of this semester.</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"> Information on OPT is available at</FONT> <A HREF="http://www7.tamu-commerce.edu/international/Fall_2004/events_announcements.htm#optsp05"><U><FONT COLOR="#0000FF" SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">http://www7.tamu-commerce.edu/international/Fall_2004/events_announcements.htm#optsp05</FONT></U></A></P>

Whichever option you choose, you must inform the international</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">student</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"></FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">adviser</FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">and take action within the 60 days grace period. F</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">ailure to take action within 60 days will result in SEVIS termination and you</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"></FONT> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">will be out-of-status</FONT><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">.</FONT></P>
