Good Afternoon International Lions,

It our pleasure to introduce to you our 2022-2023 Global Student Association (GSA) Leadership Team. We are extremely excited to have such a robust and diverse team that will advocate for our student community, provide fun events, and implement programs to support your next academic year at Texas A&M Commerce. The 2022-2023 Leadership Team is as follows:

Treasurer – Yetunde Soremekun
Planning Committee Leader – Vishal Raj Yuvaraj
Public Affairs Committee Leader – Afsana Azmari

With this upcoming year, it important to see what the vision is for the GSA as they are here for you throughout your time with us. Here is the vision from our 2022-2023 GSA President, Trishna Mogali:

“It is truly a joy to write this special message as the President of our international student community. The Global
Student Association for Texas A&M Commerce is so very close to my heart. I am very excited and thankful
to be the newly elected president of GSA to work & encourage you to fulfil your greatest dream on our campus. Let us
together live the absolute best life to make an impact in the international student community. I believe
we need to take risks sometimes in life to move ahead as leadership is about utilizing those opportunities &
leaving a legacy. Students are the most important person on our campus. I aim to welcome new students on
campus, spread diversity and integration on our campus, create new opportunities, & inspire students to achieve their goals. I recognize
that in addition to our student's academic pursuits, they need support to be educated to celebrate
different cultures around the world. My vision for next year is to create an easily accessible platform to
bridge the gap between our alumni & current students for international student engagement.
My goal is to bring together the right guidance & support for career development by creating awareness &
collaborating with giant workforces out in the world. I want people to be part of the GSA by providing
them equal and inclusive opportunities. I will strive to help students through the mission of the GSA in ways
that enables them to make their mark in the world, and in turn, make that world a better place.
As George Bernard Shaw quoted, "Life is no brief candle to me, it is a splendid torch which I have got
hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as bright as possible before handing it on to future
generations"
