[Intl-stu] URGENT & IMPORTANT: UNIVERSITY MANDATED COVID-19 Protocol

[International Students]

Dear Lions!

We hope you all are doing well and staying safe. The Office of International Programs (OIP) at Texas A&M University-Commerce would like to inform you of a few changes that have occurred within the last week on COVID-19 testing requirements for all students.

If you are traveling from abroad into the U.S. and are Vaccinated

*         Submit proof of vaccination.

*         You must test with the University 3-5 days after arrival to the U.S.

*         You do not need to quarantine

*         Email your vaccination record  COVID.Vaccine at tamuc.edu<mailto:COVID.Vaccine at tamuc.edu>

If you are traveling from abroad into the U.S. are NOT vaccinated

*         You must get tested with the University within 3 to 5 days and you must self-quarantine for a full 7 days.

If you are living On-Campus at the Residence Halls:

*         Prior to your arrival to the United States, you must notify Residential living & Learning at RLLCOVID at tamuc.edu<mailto:RLLCOVID at tamuc.edu> for information and guidance on your housing and quarantine arrangement.

Mandated Testing:
Make an appointment with the Student Health Services and follow the process below:

*         Click here to schedule for COVID Test<https://tamus.curativeinc.com/welcome> while filling the Personal Information under the "ROLE" area you need to fill it as "INTERNATIONAL"

*         Click Consent form<https://dms.tamuc.edu/Forms/Privacy?_ga=2.33103230.1991237315.1597063903-660918509.1499721002>

Testing performed by other entities off campus will not be accepted to meet the mandatory testing requirement. You must test with A&M-Commerce University.

Please note that regardless of vaccination status, everyone will be required to submit to a COVID diagnostic test provided by the University between August 25-September 17, 2021. Students who do not comply with mandatory COVID-19 reporting, testing, and/or quarantine/isolation requirements will go through the Student Conduct Process. This may result in a student facing possible separation (i.e., suspension or expulsion) from the University or being considered a student "not in good standing. This may also result in your F-1 SEVIS termination and you may have to go home.
