Last week our university switched to 100% online instruction until further notice. If an international student decides to depart the U.S. and return to home country while still enrolled in full course load, the Office of International Programs (OIP) will NOT terminate SEVIS record but leave it in ACTIVE status, knowing student will return to school in Fall 2020. Please ensure that you notify OIP of your decision to leave U.S. prior to departure. DO NOT WITHDRAW FROM YOUR CLASSES. CONTINUE TO TAKE CLASSES ONLINE FROM HOME COUNTRY.
Email Intl.Stu at tamuc.edu<mailto:Intl.Stu at tamuc.edu> using email title: "COVID-19 Crisis: Departure Information". Include the following information in the email:
First Name; Last Name; CWID; Foreign Address; Foreign Telephone number; Date of Departure from U.S.; Number of Credits enrolled in;
**Please be cautious when making the decision to return to home country. Consider U.S. travel ban and restrictions. Thank you.
