Office of International Programs (OIP): Issuance of Invitation Letters to Students
Please note that starting from Spring 2019 semester, the Office of International Programs (OIP) will no longer issue invitation letters to students who wish to invite family members to the United States to attend graduation ceremonies or for general visits. It has come to our knowledge that OIP letters do not influence the decisions of the consular officers at the U.S. Embassies and Consulates when approving visas. Applicants are granted visas if and when they meet the criteria of U.S. Embassies and Consulates as stated on their websites.
Instead, students who are inviting family members should write the letters of invitation. To give you an idea on how to write the letter, OIP will post a template of an "Invitation Letter" on our website as a guide. Feel free to use or modify the template when inviting family members to the U.S. In addition to the letter, contact the Registrar's Office to request Enrollment Verification document as proof of your full-time academic status at TAMU-C. We hope this helps.

Director of International Programs
