[Intl-stu] FW: Applying for OPT

[International Students]

The Office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) will begin accepting applications for 12-month Optional Practical Training (OPT) for spring graduates on Monday, February 13, 2017.  For instructions for applying for OPT go to www.tamuc.edu/opt<http://www.tamuc.edu/opt>.  All documents are submitted to OPT at tamuc.edu<mailto:OPT at tamuc.edu> (do not copy any alternate email).  DO NOT submit your application and documents prior to February 13.  All students must attend an OPT workshop in one of their final two semesters before they may apply for OPT.  DO NOT DELAY ATTENDING IF YOU PLAN TO APPLY FOR OPT THIS SPRING OR SUMMER.  For more information and for a schedule for OPT workshops go to www.tamuc.edu/opt<http://www.tamuc.edu/opt>.

Students graduating in the summer may review the ISSS calendar at www.tamuc.edu/isso<http://www.tamuc.edu/isso> under Announcements for the dates for when they may begin applying for OPT.  Please note that when you are enrolled in courses for the summer semester (summer session I only, summer I&II, or summer II only) will impact the filing period and start date for your OPT.
