THIS IS A GENERAL EMAIL TO THE ISSS EMAIL LIST SERVE.

Attached is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the System Student Health Insurance (SSHIP).  If you have any questions about the SSHIP please be sure to review the attached handout or go to SSHIP Health Insurance<http://www.tamuc.edu/campusLife/campusServices/internationalStudentServices/insurance.aspx>.  If you have any questions after reviewing  our guidance you may email IntlInsurance at tamuc.edu<mailto:IntlInsurance at tamuc.edu>.  DO NOT email or copy any alternate ISSS email.  For students eligible for a A&M System allowed SSHIP Waiver<http://www.tamuc.edu/campusLife/campusServices/internationalStudentServices/insurance.aspx> the deadline  to submit your waiver is September 6.

The SSHIP insurance card will be mailed to the myLEO mailing address you had on record at the beginning of the semester.  If you need immediate proof of coverage the attached FAQ addresses all your options to verify your coverage.

If you have submitted a waiver or have a full-time graduate assistantship with effective Grad Plan insurance we appreciate your patience as we receive updates:

*        The ISSS receives waiver approval updates each week from Academic Health Plans (AHP), the A&M System SSHIP account manager.

*        The ISSS receives confirmation of full-time GA's with effective Grad Plan insurance each week from the A&M System Benefits Office and A&M-Commerce's Human Resource Office.  GA's DO NOT submit waiver requests!
