[Intl-stu] Students applying for CPT this fall

The ISSS has received a number of Curricular Practical Training (CPT) employment applications for the fall but we have had a number of issues with students not following our instructions.

Please be sure to go to www.tamuc.edu/cpt<http://www.tamuc.edu/cpt> and follow our instructions for how to apply.  Before you submit your documents please ensure all documents meet the ISSS requirements on the CPT Checklist<http://www.tamuc.edu/campusLife/campusServices/internationalStudentServices/documents/CPTApplicationPacketSu2016.pdf> and have all required signatures.  Do not submit any additional documents other than what is included on the CPT Checklist<http://www.tamuc.edu/campusLife/campusServices/internationalStudentServices/documents/CPTApplicationPacketSu2016.pdf>.  A number of students have contacted our office regarding submitting their CPT application via email and as we have indicated we will not accept applications via email due to a number of concerns.

As indicated in our guidance and at the CPT workshop the ISSS will not be processing any CPT applications next week (August 22-26) due to our new student process and pre-semester processes for our current students.  Students who submit their CPT application next week (August 22-26) will need to choose an employment start date after August 31 to ensure enough time for the ISSS to process the application once we resume processing the week of August 29th.
