Tonight (Tuesday, March 31st) is the 21st Annual Multicultural Festival in the RSC 2nd floor beginning at 5pm. We have 13 different cultures or countries that will be represented at the festival and we know these groups have been working very hard in preparation for the festival. Thanks to all of our groups and volunteers who have worked hard for the festival.

I wanted to take this opportunity to remind our international students that one of the primary reasons we host the festival each year is to share the different international cultures we have represented on the campus with the university and surrounding community. The mission of the festival corresponds with the university's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)<http://www.tamuc.edu/qep> which is "Preparing Students for an Interconnected World." While we understand that our international students and groups are very excited I would like to caution students to not crowd around your group's tables in such a way that our festival guest may not access the display tables and food tables to share in your culture. We want to make each group's display tables and food tables as accessible as possible to the festival guesst so we may all enjoy and learn more about the different international cultures on our campus. For the talent show competition we encourage groups to show their pride but please be sure to share this pride in a respectful and positive way tonight. Thanks again to all of our students who have worked very hard for this much anticipated event and hope to see you at the RSC tonight.
