[Intl-stu] Update on OPT Application Process

[International Students]

The Office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) recently updated the 12-month OPT section of our website with the new application process.  Students applying for OPT this spring and summer semesters will need to be sure to follow the applications instructions on the OPT website at www.tamuc.edu/opt<http://www.tamuc.edu/opt>.

For students who will complete their coursework and graduate in summer the dates you may begin applying for OPT are listed below:

*        Students graduating in summer and only enrolled for summer session 1 courses may begin applying for OPT on April 28

*        All other students graduating in the summer may begin applying for OPT on May 12

The OPT workshop is currently offered online only at www.tamuc.edu/opt<http://www.tamuc.edu/opt> and students will need to review the workshop before they apply for OPT.  The ISSS is currently working on an alternate online OPT workshop as well as scheduling face  to face workshops for the summer.
