[Intl-stu] Deadline to sign up for the Multicultural Festival has been extended!

The deadline to sign up to participate in the 19th Annual Multicultural Festival has been extended to 12pm noon on Tuesday, March 26.  The festival will be on Tuesday, April 2 and attached is a schedule of events for the festival.  Students may participate in the festival as follows:

*	
	Carry your countries (or any countries) flag in the parade of flags
*	
	Set-up a display table and share about your country and/or serve food from your country
*	
	Participate in the talent or fashion show

We have over 50 countries represented on our campus and we have only had less than 20 flags reserved to be carried for the parade of flags.  If you would like to carry your countries flag or any countries flag or would like more information about setting up a display/food table please email John.Jones at tamuc.edu for more information.  If you would like more information about participating in the talent/fashion show email Brenda.Brand at tamuc.edu.    

The registration and information forms for the display/food tables and talent/fashion show are attached.

Just a reminder that the deadline to sign up to participate in the 19th Annual Multicultural Festival is this Friday, March 22.  The festival will be on Tuesday, April 2 and will begin at 5pm.  For the full schedule of events please see the attached schedule.   

We have had four groups sign up for the display/food table so far and are expecting at least 15, no groups have signed up for the talent/fashion show, and three international students have signed up to carry their countries flag in the parade of flags.  We expect many more groups and students to sign up to participate and we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.  

Attached are the forms to sign up for the display/food table and/or the talent/fashion show.  To sign up to carry your countries flag in the parade of flags please email John.Jones at tamuc.edu.

Subject: [Intl-stu] Sign-up for Multicultural Festival on Tuesday,April 2 begins today!

The Multicultural Festival is coming up on Tuesday, April 2 from 5pm-11pm on the second floor of the Rayburn Student Center and sign-up begins today.  This year the festival will be on a different day and time, Tuesday, April 2 from 5pm-11pm, so please be sure to make note of these changes.  Attached is the schedule for the festival events.  We are expecting to attract our largest crowd ever this year and we hope you will be a part.  

How can you be a part you may ask?  Students may participate in one of four ways:

*      
        Contact the ISSO to volunteer to help at the festival (email John.Jones at tamuc.edu)
*      
        Sign-up to carry your country's flag in the parade of flags (email John.Jones at tamuc.edu)
*      
        Complete the attached registration form to set-up a display or food table
*      
        Register to participate in the talent show or fashion show

The deadline to sign-up is Friday, March 22 at 5pm.  Forms may be emailed or dropped off at the ISSO in Halladay 104.  If you have any questions about the parade of flags or the display/food tables you can email John.Jones at tamuc.edu.  If you have any questions about the talent show or fashion show you can email Brenda.Brand at tamuc.edu. 

All participants in the display or food tables or talent show/ fashion must be submit the PhotoTalentReleaseform along with their group's registration form.  Each student must submit a form.  Participants in the parade of flags must submit the PhotoTalentReleaseform to the ISSO in person or via email to John.Jones at tamuc.edu.   

There is a mandatory information meeting that all participants for the display/food tables must have a representative attend. Students/student groups are required to have a representative attend one of the three scheduled meetings or the students/student groups will not be allowed to participate.
