Beginning April 30, 2013, U.S. Customs and Border Protection began
transitioning from paper copy I-94's to electronic record I-94's for
non-immigrants entering the U.S. at all air and sea port of entries.
Non-immigrants who enter the U.S. through a land port of entry
(ex...Mexico/U.S. border) will receive a paper copy I-94.

As a reminder, when you re-enter the U.S. you will not be issued a
paper copy I-94 if you enter the U.S. through an air or sea port of
entry. Instead, you will have an electronic record created for your
I-94 that you will be able to access within 48 hours of entering the
U.S. at www.cbp.gov/I94.

For more information you can review the attached FAQ or for more
information and a schedule for the implementation go to
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/i-94_instructions/i94_rollout.
xml. BE SURE TO SAVE A COPY OF YOUR I-94 AND PRINT A COPY FOR YOUR
RECORDS.

IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A PAPER COPY I-94 OR RECEIVE A PAPER COPY I-94
WHEN YOU ENTER THE U.S. IN THE FUTURE THEN THE PROCESS WILL REMAIN THE
SAME. YOU WILL SURRENDER THE PAPER COPY I-94 THE NEXT TIME YOU DEPART
THE U.S.
