The International Student Services Office will host a trip to the
Grapevine Mills Mall and a cultural market area with stores for
different Asian cultures in Carrollton, TX (H-mart, Indopak, Al
Markaz)).  For information about the mall go to 
http://www.simon.com/mall/grapevine-mills.   Students from other
cultures may suggest an alternate destination within close proximity for
consideration by the ISSO.  ALL NEW AND CURRENT INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
ARE INVITED ON THE TRIP.

 

The cost for the trip is $10 and students may sign up in the ISSO in
Halladay 104.  The $10 registration is required at sign up and students
will need to pay in cash (exact change only) or money order made out to
Texas A&M University-Commerce.  No checks.  Students must sign up in
person (no emails, phone calls, or friends signing up friends).   The
deadline to sign up is Wednesday, August 28 at 5pm.  

 

Registration is non-transferable/non-refundable once you have signed up.
Students will be required to return to Commerce on the bus and students
may not depart the mall or cultural markets with friends/family to
return later.    

 

We will depart from parking lot 35 on campus map at 
http://www.tamuc.edu/aboutUs/theCampus/campusMap.pdf at 8:30am.  We will
meet in parking lot 35 by the Performing Arts building (B30) and Science
Building (B34).  Students will need to arrive by 8:15am and bring their
campus ID card.  DO NOT ARRIVE LATE.  We plan to return to Commerce, TX
by 6pm (depending upon traffic).  The ISSO staff will provide a shuttle
for students back to their apartment/residence hall in the Commerce area
after the trip.
