[Intl-stu] Update for insurance- clarification

[International Students]

This email for the insurance information ONLY applies to students who
were automatically enrolled in the A&M System insurance (AIP) and
charged the $297 charge.  If you have met one of the insurance
exemptions listed at 
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/insurance.asp (for
example...full-time GA with insurance, government scholarship with
insurance) then this email does not apply to you.

All students who were automatically enrolled in the A&M System
insurance, AIP, have been sent their insurance card to their
university/myLeo email.  If you did not receive your insurance card via
email then please contact Maggie_Thomas at tamu-commerce.edu or call
903-468-6078.  

 

Please print out your insurance card and keep it with you at all times.
This will be your proof of insurance in case you need to go to a doctor
or have a medical emergency.  If you need to find a health care provider
in the AIP network please see the attached information.  Also attached
is a frequently asked questions.    

 

If you have not paid the $297 insurance charge on your account then you
must do so IMMEDIATELY.  Failure to make payment for your insurance may
result in your courses being dropped for non-payment which will lead to
visa status issues.  

 

Regardless of the method of payment please be sure to tell Financial
Services (Student Accounts) to apply your payment to the $297 insurance
charge.  You may contact Financial Services (Student Accounts) at
903-886-5993, 5501, 5053, or 903-468-8702.    

 

For information on how to pay please see below:  

*        Pay through myLeo <https://leo.tamu-commerce.edu/login.aspx>
with a credit card.  Be sure to contact Financial Services to confirm
your payment will be applied to the insurance charge.

*        Pay over the phone with a credit card by calling 903-886-5050
or 5501 (or one of the numbers listed above)

*        Pay in person to the cashier's window in the McDowell
Administration (BA building) or One Stop Shop (Student Access and
Success).
