[Intl-stu] OPT appointments will begin next week

[International Students]

The ISSO will begin seeing F-1 visa students for OPT appointments on
Monday, February 13.  To schedule an appointment please call the ISSO at
903-886-5097.  Students are required to attend an OPT workshop prior to
being eligible for applying for OPT.   

 

If you are graduating this semester then 12-month post completion
Optional Practical Training (OPT) employment is an option for you after
you graduate.  For more information please click here

Please note that if you are: 

1.      In your final semester and only enrolled in courses for sub-term
1 to March then your I-20 program end date will be the last day of
sub-term 1 in March and you will need to apply for OPT before the end of
sub-term 1. 

or

2.      In your  final semester and are enrolled in courses through
sub-term 2 to May 11 you will need to apply for OPT before the end of
sub-term 2 (May 11).
