If you plan to travel outside the U.S. during the summer please review
your I-20 to see if you need a travel signature on the last page. The
travel signature is required for re-entry and the travel signature is
valid for one year from the date of the signature for re-entry. A new
signature is not required every time you travel outside the U.S.
If your I-20 does not have a travel signature or your signature will be
older than one year from the date you plan to re-enter then you will
need to complete a Travel Signature Request Form and provide your I-20
to the ISSO. Please note that information regarding the passport and
visa expiration date are required on the travel signature request form
as well as your travel dates. Signature requests need to be made at
least two weeks before the date of departure.
There are two ways to request a travel signature:
* Complete the attached Travel Signature Request form (also
available at ISSO) and bring this form along with your I-20 to the ISSO
in Halladay 104. Students may need to leave their I-20 as an
international advisor may not be available to sign the I-20 when they
come by.
* Students outside the Commerce area may complete the attached
Travel Signature Request form and mail the form along with their I-20 to
the ISSO. The ISSO will mail the I-20 back by regular mail unless the
student provides an express mail option.
