[Intl-stu] Insurance update

I appreciate your patience while we work through the new insurance
requirements this semester.  There have been a few "bugs" in the system
and my staff has reviewed all student accounts last week and I just
completed a final review this week.  If you have emailed me then I may
not have responded but know I have been working with HR and the Bursar's
office on every student who has emailed me or stopped by the ISSO to
resolve the issue.  All accounts are updated to the best of our
knowledge but of course there may be a few who have not provided their
information or that have been overlooked which is why we have done a
couple of reviews.

 

I will ask the Bursar, Charles Robnett, to update all student's accounts
to reflect any changes that have been made today.  Please review your
student account on Monday, January 31 for accuracy.  IF ON MONDAY,
JANUARY 31, your account is still not accurate please email
John_Jones at tamu-commerce.edu to explain your situation.  

 

IF ON MONDAY, YOUR ACCOUNT IS NOT REFLECTING THE $274 PREMIUM CHARGE AND
IT SHOULD PLEASE CONTACT JOHN_JONES at TAMU-COMMERCE.EDU IMMEDIATELY AS YOU
ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE A&M INSURANCE PLAN AND IF YOU BECOME ILL OR
HAVE AN EMERGENCY YOU WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE INSURANCE.  

 

Please remember the following:

*        Just to remind you, the $274 premium charge will need to be
paid by February 14, 2011 or your classes will be dropped.  When you
make your payment please be sure to notify the Bursar's office at
903-886-5050 that the payment is to be applied to the insurance charge.


*        The ISSO will submit a final report to AIP of all students
enrolled after February 14, 2011 and you should receive your insurance
card to your university email no later than the end of February.  I will
send out an email to notify you when to expect to receive it closer to
February 14.  

*        If you have an emergency or need information regarding your
insurance prior please contact AIP at 800-452-5772.
