Last semester the Greenville driver's license office had informed me
that A&M-Commerce international students did not need a letter of
enrollment from the ISSO. However, that policy has not changed.

If you need to apply for or renew your driver's license in the state of
Texas you will need a letter from the university verifying your
enrollment. You may request this letter with the ISSO at
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp through our online
request form or through your myLeo (if you have a social security
number).

The ISSO is working hard to provide all letter requests in a more timely
manner as I know there has been delays in the past that have frustrated
students. However, letters for social security numbers now will be
delayed due to recent concerns the past two semesters. Please be aware
that if you are hired on-campus you may work on-campus and be paid while
you wait for your social security number to be issued.
