I sent out an email earlier this week to let students know about the new
Travel Signature Request form
<http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms/travel%20signature%20r
equest%20form.pdf> at
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp. This form is
located online at the above website and there are hard copies available
in the ISSO. Please see below for further information on requesting a
travel signature for your I-20 (F-1) or DS-2019 (J-1) as the new Travel
Signature Request form requires information regarding your immigration
documents (passport, visa) and your travel itinerary.
If you are outside the Commerce area, have a friend submit your
I-20/DS-2019 for you at the ISSO, or complete the Travel Signature
Request form online please note:
* All information requested on the Travel Signature Request form
is required
* The form is a fillable pdf document and once you have completed
the form print a copy and submit with your I-20/DS-2019 via mail or by a
friend
* Please allow 1-3 business days for the ISSO to process your
request (incomplete request forms will delay your request)
* Options for returning the I-20/DS-2019 to you are provided on
the Travel Signature Request form
If you come to the ISSO in person to request a travel signature you will
need to:
* Bring your original passport, visa, and I-94
* Be prepared to provide information related to your travel
departure date and return date (this information is required on the
form)
* Allow 1-3 business days for the ISSO to process your request
(incomplete request forms will delay your request)
PLEASE NOTE: If your travels will cause you to miss class(s) then you
are required to provide a letter from your academic
department/instructor(s) with your request form and I-20/DS-2019.
