[Intl-stu] Incorrect billing for mini and summer semesters

It has come to my attention that international students are being
charged for insurance for the mini and/or the summer semester.  There
should not be an insurance charge on any international student's account
for the May mini, summer, or August mini semesters.

 

We are aware of this issue and I informed the Bursar's office earlier
this semester that there would not be any charges for the mini or summer
semesters.  Due to an error the accounts were charged the $274 insurance
charge incorrectly for the mini and summer semesters.  I contacted the
Bursar's office yesterday and was informed they would remove the charges
this week.  If your account still shows the insurance charge for the
mini or summer semesters on Monday, April 11 then you may email
Charles_Robnett at tamu-commerce.edu or call 903-886-5050 and the Bursar's
office will correct your account.  

 

PLEASE ALLOW THE BURSAR'S OFFICE TIME TO MAKE THE CORRECTIONS AND DO NOT
CONTACT THEIR OFFICE UNTIL MONDAY, APRIL 11.  

 

I again apologize for the issues we have had with the insurance charges
this semester and I am reviewing the process to ensure we do not
experience these problems in the fall.
