[Intl-stu] OPT Workshops

[International Students]

We have scheduled Optional Practical Training workshops in September and
October for the following dates and times:

September 22   3:30pm

September 24   10am

October 6            3:30pm

October 8            10am

October 20          3:30pm

October 22          10am

 

We will have more scheduled for November and December.  Please remember
that all students who began their academic program in Fall 2008 or after
are required to attend the OPT workshop before applying.  Students may
attend the workshop anytime during their academic program.  

 

All F-1 students are eligible for 12-months of Optional Practical
Training employment in the U.S. at each education level (Associate,
Bachelor, Masters, Doctorate) after they graduate.  Some students in
STEM majors may be eligible for an additional 17-months of OPT.  For
more information please attend one of our workshops.   

 

Students who are graduating this semester may contact the ISSO at
903-886-5097 to schedule an OPT appointment.  We will begin seeing
students for OPT appointments on September 27.  You must contact the
ISSO at least one day in advance to schedule an appointment and students
applying for 12-month OPT must attend the appointment in person (no
exceptions).  Please visit
