[Intl-stu] Course registration for summer/fall 2010

[International Students]

Early registration for the may mini, summer, august mini, and fall
semesters will begin on March 22, 2010 for graduate students.  For a
full registration schedule please go to

As you are aware, all F-1  and J-1 international students are required
to have medical/repatriation insurance for every registered semester.
For more information on the insurance requirements please visit
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/insurance.asp.  

 

The ISSO recommends that students have medical/repatriation insurance
coverage at any time while they are within the U.S.  The insurance will
need to be valid for the following dates:

May mini                             May 17, 2010 to June 4, 2010

Summer                               June 7, 2010 to August 12, 2010 

August mini                        August 13, 2010 to August 27, 2010

Fall                                         August 30, 2010 to December
17, 2010 

 

Please submit your proof of insurance to intl_stu at tamu-commerce.edu
<mailto:intl_stu at tamu-commerce.edu>  or in person to the ISSO in
Halladay 104.  

 

DO NOT submit your insurance to the ISSO staff's personal emails or to
intl-stu at tamu-commerce.edu as your hold will not be lifted.    

 

Students must submit proof of insurance through the end of the fall
semester if you are continuing your classes through the fall semester,
December 17,2010, to have the hold lifted. 

 

If you are graduating in the summer semester you will need to provide a
letter from your department stating  that you will graduate in August
and provide proof of insurance through August 12.  Please note that you
are not able to graduate from the August Mini semster.

 

 

Insurance holds will not be lifted until Spring Break in time for
registration on March 22, 2010.  

 

Also note that any changes to your course schedule for the Spring 2010
must be APPROVED by the ISSO.
