The International Student Services office (ISSO) would like to welcome
all new students and returning students for the Spring 2010 semester at
Texas A&M University-Commerce. We hope that you have a fun and
successful semester. Please read over the important reminder below.
You may contact our office with any questions or concerns.
All F-1 international students are required by USCIS to enroll in a full
course of study each fall and spring semester. A full course of study
is at least twelve (12) semester credit hours for undergraduate students
and at least nine (9) semester credit hours for graduate students.
Students who have a full-time assistantship, are in their last semester,
working on dissertation/thesis, are concurrently enrolled at another
university, or extenuating medical issues may enroll in less than a full
course of study with permission from the ISSO. Permission from your
academic department is not enough. DO NOT drop below a full course of
study during the semester without permission from the ISSO.
Students who enroll in less than a full course of study must submit the
Report Less than Required Hours form at
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp before the start of
the semester. If you have not submitted this form this semester and are
enrolled in less than a full course of study then you will need to do so
immediately.
