Below are some important reminders regarding traveling during the
summer.

To travel outside the U.S. it is recommended that you have the
following:

*	Valid passport and visa
*	I-94
*	Current I-20 with travel validation signature on the last page
within one year of re-entry.

The Department of State also recommends having the following:

*         Copy of transcripts

*         Financial information

If your I-20 has not been signed on the last page within 12 months of
when you plan to re-enter then stop by the International Student
Services office (ISSO) to have an international advisor sign the I-20.
If you need to renew your visa while you are home, please go to
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/immigration_matter.asp for
more information. You can also visit the Department of State website at
http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1268.html for information
on visa renewals.

Also, F-1 international students are not required to study during the
summer semester unless it is their first registered semester. You may
remain in the U.S., travel outside the U.S., or continue your studies.
Please remember that you are not allowed to work off-campus unless you
have been approved by the ISSO and/or USCIS. Unauthorized off-campus
employment is a violation of your F-1 visa status and you may be
required to leave the U.S.

We will miss you and we hope you have a safe and enjoyable summer!
