We are getting really excited about the Multicultural Festival that will
be on April 10th this year. We'll be in the NEW SAM RAYBURN MEMORIAL
STUDENT CENTER for the first time and due to this new venue the festival
will be a little different.

There are a few different ways you can be involved in the festival this
year and we encourage as much participation as possible. One of the
primary ways to be involved is to carry your countries flag during the
parade of flags. Students will need to contact John Mark Jones at
john_jones at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:john_jones at tamu-commerce.edu> to
confirm their participation in the parade of flags no later than March
13 to allow time to order any flags.

Others way to be involved include setting up a display to provide
information about your country`: the display may include
video/powerpoint playing on laptop, posters/pictures, flags,
items/clothing from the countries, free giveaways, and anything else you
may think of that will help people to know more about your culture.

One of the highlights of the festival is the ethnic food that groups
provide during the festival. Any groups that are interested in
providing food at the festival can contact John Mark Jones at
john_jones at tamu-commerce.edu for more details.

Last of all, we will have a talent show competition during the festival
that students may be a part of. I know that some of you are
accomplished musicians so I hope that you will consider being a part of
the talent show. If you are not interested in the competition part of
the show, we will need acts to play throughout the festival. If you
would like to be a part of the talent show, please contact Brenda Brand
at brenda_brand at tamu-commerce.edu
<mailto:brenda_brand at tamu-commerce.edu> .

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me and
I hope that you will consider being involved in the festival this year.
Thanks
