[Intl-stu] Reporting less than required hours
International Students

Just a reminder that all international students are required by
immigration to be enrolled in a full course of study, 9 hours for
graduate students and 12 hours for undergraduate students, for the fall
and spring semesters. You are not required to study during the summer
unless it is your first semester. There are very exceptions to this
requirement.
If the spring semester is your last semester before graduation and you
only have one or two courses left to complete you may enroll for less
than full-time. If you have a full 20 hour assistantship this semester
you may enroll for six hours. However, you are required to complete the
"Report Less than Required Hours" form at
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp immediately. Our
office will begin reporting the status of students to immigration seen
and this form must be completed. If you have any questions or concerns
please contact the ISSO.
