[Intl-stu] Housing scholarship update

I wanted to follow up with some clarification regarding the email below that was sent out on the international listserv.
 
Only students who were awarded the housing scholarship for the first time in Fall 2008 (scholarship being awarded $500 Fall 08 and $500 Spring 09) or were awarded the housing scholarship for the first time in Spring 09 ($1000 for Spring) are being considered for renewal.  
 
If you originally received the housing scholarship in Fall 08 and Spring 09 as a continuation of your housing scholarship award from the previous academic year (07-08) then you will not be eligible for renewal.  The housing scholarship renewals are only considered for up to 4 semesters for graduate students.  
 
Also, if you are eligible for consideration for renewal you will need to be registered for nine (9) semester credit hours this Fall before the scholarship office will consider your renewal.  The following is the criteria for consideration for renewal:
*	Enrolled in at least 9 semester credit hours 
*	Have a housing contract on file, paid the required deposit, and have no outstanding housing fees 
*	Must have a 3.0 or better GPA 
*	Must have received the housing scholarship for the first time in Fall 08 ($500 Fall 08/$500 Spring 09) or in Spring 09 ($1000 Spring 09)

The ISSO has been contacted by the scholarship office with this update regarding the housing scholarship.  Please read over it thoroughly and direct any questions to the scholarship office at 903-886-5915 or go to the Halladay Student Services Building Room 302.
 
Students who have maintained the Fall 2008 housing scholarship as required ($500 Fall 08/ $500 Spring 09 ) or were awarded a new $1000 housing scholarship in Spring 2009 will be considered for renewal of their housing scholarship for Fall 2009 if they meet the following criteria:
*	Are enrolled in at least 9 semester credit hours 
*	Have a housing contract on file, paid the required deposit, and have no outstanding housing fees 
*	Must have a 3.0 or better GPA 
There is no new housing scholarship money for Fall 2009.  Only renewals are being considered at this time.
