[Intl-stu] IMPORTANT REGULATION UPDATE
International Students

Some of the staff of the ISSO recently attended an international
advisor's conference that was also attended by USCIS's Student Exchange
Visitor Program (SEVP). We were informed of a policy update that
affects international students in their LAST SEMESTER ONLY.
If you have just one (1) course left in your last semester to graduate,
this course CANNOT be online. Students in their last semester with just
one course to take must take a face to face or web endanced "E" course.
This applies to students in their last semester for the fall and spring
semesters.
If the fall semester is your last semester and you have registered for
only one (1) course that is online, YOU WILL NEED TO ADJUST YOUR
SCHEDULE. Most of the academic departments have been advised of this
change in policy and will work with you to satisfy the requirement.
International students in their last semester with two (2) courses left
to graduate may take one (1) face to face or "E" course and one (1)
online course. You MAY NOT take two (2) online courses in your final
semester.
Just to remind, you must complete the Report Less than Required Hours
form at http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp
<http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/forms.asp> to confirm your
taking less than a full course of study with the ISSO.
