[International Students]

President's Picnic:

Just a reminder about the President's Picnic for international students
on Tuesday, September 30, at 6:00pm.  We need students to sign up by
Thursday, September 25th at 5pm so we can provide the President's office
a count of students who will attend  There will be a shuttle running
from the parking lot of the BA building to the President's home starting
at 5:30pm.  Please stop by as soon as possible to sign up.   

 

 

OPT Website Information:

This semester we have made some updates to the application process for
12-month OPT and the 17-month OPT extension on our website at
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/employment_cpt_opt.asp.  We
advise students applying for OPT to review the website before their
appointment to confirm they have all the necessary documents.  

 

For students applying for 17-month extension there is no Approval Notice
issued with your EAD.  Please disregard this request as some USCIS
Service Centers issue these documents, but the Texas USCIS Service
Center does not issue Approval Notices for OPT.   I apologize for any
confusion this has caused.
