[Intl-stu] insurance reminder

[International Students]

Just to remind you, for Winter Mini your insurance will need to be valid
from December 15th to January 12th.  The ISSO will carefully monitor
students who provide insurance for only the Winter Mini.  For Spring
semester your insurance will need to be valid from January 20th to May
15th.  If you will be enrolled for both semesters your insurance will
need to be valid from December 15th to May 15th.   It is a requirement
of all international students to carry medical/repatriation insurance
for each registered semester or their classes will be dropped.  

 

Proof of insurance may be submitted in person, by email, or by fax to
903-468-3200.  PLEASE SUBMIT E-MAILED PROOF OF INSURANCE TO
intl_stu at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:intl_stu at tamu-commerce.edu> .  Please

information.      

 

Once you are able to register, DO NOT adjust your Fall class schedule by
dropping below full-time without permission from the ISSO FIRST.
Full-time for graduate students is 9 hours and for undergraduate
students 12 hours.  Dropping below full-time at any time throughout the
semester without the permission of the ISSO is a violation of your visa
status and will jeopardize your ability to continue your studies and/or
apply for Optional Practical Training or Curricular Practical Training
employment.    

 

PLEASE ALLOW ONE BUSINESS DAY FOR THE ISSO TO LIFT THE HOLD.
