[Intl-stu] OPT for Summer graduates/ Scholarship information

OPT Appointments for Summer Graduates

 

We will begin scheduling OPT appointments for students graduating this
summer on Monday, June 9, 2008.  If you are only enrolled for courses
during the Summer I term please schedule your OPT appointment for no
later than Monday, June 23, 2008.  If you are enrolled for Summer II
courses please schedule your OPT appointment no later than Monday, July
28, 2008.  You may contact the ISSO at 903-886-5097 or email
intl_stu at tamu-commerce.edu to schedule an appointment.  Please DO NOT
reply to this email to schedule an appointment.  If you have any
questions regarding your graduation this Summer contact your academic
department and/ or academic advisor to confirm your eligibility for
graduation.

as some of the rules and regulations for OPT have changed.  You may go

learn the application process.  Please be sure to follow all steps and
have all forms properly completed to prevent any delays.  

 

 

Scholarship Recipients

 

If you were notified in May or you are notified this summer that you are
the recipient of a scholarship for the Fall 2008 semester you will need
to update your I-20 to reflect the changes to your financial
information.  Please fill out a request form located at the front desk
in the ISSO and check Other and write I-20 financial update.  Be sure to
include your I-20 and your scholarship information printed from MyLeo.
You may fill out a request online at
http://www.tamu-commerce.edu/international/Fall_2004/Forms/request_form.
asp but we will need you to provide your I-20 and your scholarship
information from MyLeo before we can process the request.  

 

To remind you, if you apply for a housing scholarship and are not
awarded the scholarship you are encouraged to apply again.  The housing
scholarship applications for the Fall 2008 semester are considered once
a month during the summer.  Spring 2009 housing scholarship applications
are considered once a month from August until December.  Please go to
