[Intl-stu] Very important information for OPT/ CPT application

Please see below for very important information regarding OPT/CPT
application:

 

 

Effective December 15, 2008, all international students applying for
12-month Optional Practical Training (OPT) employment and Curricular
Practical Training (CPT) employment will be required to attend their
OPT/CPT appointment in person.  Students applying for OPT/CPT will no
longer be allowed to have a friend represent them at their appointment. 

 

Please be aware that the two weeks before each semester are very busy
for the ISSO as we prepare for the arrival of new international
students.  Before the spring semester, our office will tentatively be
closed on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 14th and all day Thursday,
January 15th for new international student orientation.  Students
planning to apply for CPT in the spring need to make note of these
changes and plan ahead of time as their may be limited appointment times
available.  Please be sure to visit our website as we will be updating
the information on OPT and CPT.
