Subject: Final festival details and remarks.
We are making final preparations for the Multicultural Festival this year.
To remind you, the festival is this Friday, April 4th, from 11:00-2:00 in
the American and Texas ballroom of the student center. Admission to the
festival is $3 and tickets can be purchased at the ISSO in BA 350 or at the
festival.
I would like to encourage each of you to be professional and mature as
participants in the festival and talent show as well as observers of the
festival and talent show. I know that an event like this creates a
tremendous amount of pride in your culture as it should, but let us keep
this pride within acceptable parameters. Please refrain from any
disruptive behavior during the festival or the talent show. This year's
festival may be different from previous festivals, but the goal is the same-
to celebrate your culture. By your behavior, please make a lasting
impression of your culture's professionalism and maturity. Each of you
represent a very rich and unique culture that is worthy or being displayed
and recognized at the festival.
Last of all we still need volunteers to help with the pre-festival set-up,
assistance during the festival, and to help with the clean up afterwards.
All volunteers will receive free admission to the festival. Please contact
me at John_Jones at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:John_Jones at tamu-commerce.edu> if
you are interested in volunteering. Also, if you would like carry your
countries flag please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks and see you
on Friday.
