Subject: 2006 Multicultural International Festival

The International Student Services (ISS) and the Association of
International Students (AIS) are sponsoring the 12th annual Multicultural
International Festival on Friday, April 7th, 11am-2pm, Texas/American
Ballroom of the MSC Building.

This Festival is one of the most popular and fun events on campus. It
provides the opportunity for all international students to showcase their
diversity and represent their countries. All international students and
minority students are strongly encouraged to participate in this event.

Activities in the Festival include Flag parade, Booth Display/Demonstration,
Ethnic Food Sampling, and Stage Talent Show.

Students who are members of an active student organization on campus should
be able to participate in more than one or all activities because you will
have enough personnel and funding to do it. If you are a student
representing your country but do not belong to any active student
organization on campus, you can at least participate in the Flag Parade or
the Booth Display or both since the flag of your country will be provided by
the ISS at no cost to you and the booth display can be set up at no cost.

During the Spring Break, put on your thinking cap and come up with ideas of
what you want to do to showcase your country in this Festival. All
international students play a very important role in this event because each
of you makes up the rich diversity of this campus. So let us hear from you.
Let your voice be heard and let your existence and talents be witnessed
during the Festival.

Tickets for admission will be available for sale to faculty/staff,
community, and students at $3.00 per ticket in the ISS office or at the door
on the day of the event. Students who signed up to participate in any
activities will not need a ticket and can enter free.

Contact the ISS staff for questions and details of each activity.

Students who participated in the Festival in the past know how much
memorable this event has been, so you can help spread the words and
encourage new students to share that same memorable experience again this
year.

The ISS and the AIS need to have your responses early so we have some ideas
of the number of participants and can plan and accommodate your needs
accordingly.

Please respond by contacting the ISS, phone 903-886-5097 or e-mail
intl_stu at tamu-commerce.edu <mailto:intl_stu at tamu-commerce.edu> , and sign up
for the activities in which you want to participate by Monday, March 27.
